Killifishes
Killifishes are normally found in Africa, Asia and South America. The family are "Annual fish" meaning that the fish are relatively short-lived. Its typical that they are very attractive and colourful but they also tend to be aggresive.

This fish is a impressive sight. You can see blue body colours, with bright red vertical marks. Although its a very nice looking fish, it is a very aggresive species.

This fish needs plenty of vegetation and subdued light. Likes to hide, and would prefer the water to be slightly acid, about 6.0 - 6.5 .

These fish can be kept either in a single species aquarium or since they are not very aggressive, in community aquaria with similarly sized killifish or other non-aggressive fish. This fish prefers to stay near the bottom of the tank. It is shy in small numbers and is, therefore, better kept in a group or with other fish. It tolerates pHs from 6.5 to 7.5 while preferring the lower end (acidic) of this range. Water hardness is not critical although low hardness is preferable. Optimum temperature ranges from 20-30°C (68-85°F).

Brightly coloured, with many red spots around the body. This is a aggresive fish, and will try to fin-nip at others.

This is another good looking fish, almost can be mistaken for a tropical marine species. Unfortunately the Rachov's Nothbrands are inclined to be very aggresive.

This fish has a brown back, with a yellow underside and green flanks.
